Experian’s contact information is as follows:
P.O. Box 2104 Allen, TX 75013
When you write to them include your full name, address, a copy of your Experian credit report, the name of the account or inquiry in question and copies of any supporting documents you have.
Did you authorize inquiries on your credit report?
Did you apply for credit or apply for a loan? Think now. All inquiries for credit will legitimately land on your credit report. Did you get turned down for an auto loan? Maybe you applied for a credit card to transfer high interest balances to a new low interest card with an introductory rate.
Get Proof and Go Straight to the Horse’s Mouth
The burden is on the company who reported you to Experian to prove to that you did in fact apply for credit from them or fall delinquent on an account. Write them letters asking for proof. You have a right to a copy of any document you signed.
Again, all correspondence regarding your credit should be in a letter form and mailed via certified mail from the postal service. After weeks or sometimes even months of going back and forth with the lender you might find that the lender has no proof of your authorization to apply for credit.
You could be the victim of identity theft or the lender might have made a simple mistake when entering a social security number in their system. Don’t just lie down and accept negative items on your credit report! Do the work or have a professional do the work for you. If the lender cannot prove the debt is yours by all means ask them to delete the item from your credit report at once!

This is why even the simplest credit fix can be so aggravating. You must take personal responsibility for what is affecting your credit score. This requires documentation and diligence.
After you’ve settled the inaccuracy with the lender you must send all documentation certified mail to not only Experian but also Equifax and Trans Union credit bureaus if they are reporting it as well. Do you have copies from all three bureaus? You can’t trust that what’s showing on one credit report is what’s showing on the other two.
It can take months and several credit dispute attempts to get the derogatory item deleted from your credit report. The staff at Lexington Law Office is happy to handle this for you. In fact, they can take care of the erroneous entry from step one!
True Story about Disputing and (Legally Erasing) Experian Marks of Bad Credit:
Let me take you back to an embarrassing day at the car dealership. After finding a new black on black Nissan Pathfinder, negotiating with the sales person, and determining a fair price, it was finally time to get approved for an car loan.
Or, so I thought! The finance guy pulled up my credit report and informed me that I had all types of negative credit on my Experian credit report!
If you've been taken aback by such a "surprise" before, then I can sympathize with you. The situation only got worse for me when my banker warned me that the bad credit - including a judgment - would stay on my credit report for the following seven to ten years!
Additionally, he said, with this outstanding bad credit on my Experian credit report, there was no way to get financed for that car loan.I went home and did some research online. I bought a $12 ebook from ebay that advised me (the WRONG way) to correct my credit. I followed the instructions but got nowhere. I am convinced that Experian placed a RED FLAG on my file because they assumed I was doing something illegal. Here are some copies of the letters that Experian sent me:
Experian sent me letters like this one. They declined to investigate my disputes. I was positive that they put a RED FLAG on my file for doing illicit do-it-yourself credit repair.
After wasting a few more weeks trying to battle Experian, I decided I needed some help. I discovered a law firm that helped people erase all kinds of bad credit from Experian.
These methods are really complicated for the average consumer and should only be attempted by a professional!
After only a few days with Lexington Law, I received letters from Experian informing me they erased negative credit items. Here is the first letter that I got in the mail:

The team at Lexington kept working on my credit score and it continued to improve on a month to month basis.
They even managed to delete two collections for $762 and $1,508. One was for a disputed credit card account and the other was from a disputed medical bill. These letters arrived in the mail after Lexington deleted them from my Experian report:

It was an excellent day when Lexington deleted the judgment that was ruining my credit. I tried disputing this item myself, since it was for a disputed account, but Experian declined to investigate my claims. A judgment will completely destroy a good standing credit file. If you have a judgment on your credit report, then you probably have these things stacked up against you:
1. A Judgment remains on your credit for ten years - or more you pay it (renewed)
2. Creditors may then seize your assets including your car or other valuable property
3. Your wages may be garnished. They take money directly from your bank account – even before you get your paycheck
Here is the letter I got after they deleted the judgment:
Why Experian May Decline to Remove Your Bad Credit
Now here’s the meat of this whole process. Technically, Experian has 30 days to conclude your investigation. They must supply you in writing, what the results of their examination are along with a new copy of your credit report. The updated credit report should display any changes (if any) as a due to your dispute. This is what they are supposed to do.
The reality about disputing with Experian is simply that they do not want to do it. When you file for a dispute, Experian loses time and money.
This is why your Experian Dispute may be disregarded or ignored. They may also send you a stall letter. Worse yet is they place a Red Flag on your account. This is exactly what happened to me when I tried do it yourself credit repair with Experian. They sent me stacks of stall letters and I got nowhere. I just buried myself deeper after making mistakes with my dispute letters.
What To Do When You’ve Already Tried Everything and You Still Have the Negative Credit on Your Experian Credit Listing
There are things you can do to help your circumstances - but there are deadlines so you need to quickly take action!
The first thing you should do is check and see whether you legally owe the debt(s) on your credit. Also, take a look at the statute of limitations in your state. It’s possible that the time has expired for the creditor to collect a debt from you. If this is seems confusing, then give these guys a call - Lexington Law Firm - they figured out my entire situation for me.
Also, you can explore Debt Validation. This is an advanced method where you put the burden of proof on the credit lender. The creditor has to prove - with paperwork and contracts - that you are legally bound to pay the debt.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT DEBT VALIDATION OR HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT REMOVING BAD CREDIT WITH EXPERIAN, YOU CAN SPEAK WITH A CREDIT REPAIR PARALEGAL FOR FREE BY CLICKING HERE
WARNING! YOU HAVE ONLY A FEW DAYS TO USE DEBT VALIDATION AND GUARANTEE YOU’RE RIGHT TO DISPUTE A DEBT.
If you have tried everything already - including debt validation and credit bureau disputing, another option is to bargain directly with the credit lender. You'll need a bit of tolerance and good organization skills. You could offer payments if you cannot pay for a lump sum.
Keep in mind that the older a debt is, the less the collection agency likely paid for it. As part of your compromise, you must insist that the creditor delete the negative credit from your credit reports. They have the power to do this...even if they tell you it is not possible.
Get their agreement to erase the bad credit in writing. If this seems a bit intimidating, that's ok. I was a bit nervous too. I negotiated with collection agents but it made me feel sick to my stomach. One debt collector had the nerve to call me "pathetic" and a "loser."
After that experience I decided to get some professionals on my side that would put these scumbag collection agents in their place. I went to Lexington Law. I learned that they already had helped thousands of people just like me. After finding out that their services were affordable - I signed up!
After just 30 days they persuaded the Experian Bureau to erase my bad credit! (They used Debt Validation to get rid of some items.) They also cleaned up my credit with the other Credit Bureaus including TransUnion and Equifax:
It was a huge liberation when this letter came in the mail. It was as if a burden had been lifted from my shoulders.
I realized that without a decent credit score, I was not going to be able to get a house, car, or anything else when I needed it.
Lexington Law helped me get back on my feet by deleting my negative credit with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. My score went up by 90 points and I am now in good shape to get financed for a new car.
If you’re battling bad credit and need immediate help, then I recommend you call Lexington Law. They will give you a free credit consultation and inform you what they can do to help.
There is no obligation. Make sure not to procrastinate. Things will only likely get worse if you delay.
Keep in mind, debt validation is a strong weapon against credit report problems...I am really glad that I went and got help before the deadline passed!
Make sure you don't miss out!
