What Other People Say About Lexington Law
1. Debt Kid is a website about a teenager who got into some financial trouble. He is now trying to get out of debt and fix his overall financial situation. He claims that his credit score is in the 400's currently and that he anticipates that Lexington Law would be able to easily remove some of his questionable negative credit items and boost his score by approximately 100 points.
2. AskMeHelpDesk - appears to be a loosely organized forum where they began a thread about Lexington Law. One member notes that Lexington Law is a member of the Better Business Bureau.
One member claims that credit repair is illegal and that they cannot practice - to which another member responded that you are hiring a law firm, which of course is 100% legal. (who would believe that it is illegal for licensed attorneys to practice law)
Another member posted his story indicating that he hired them three months ago and had experienced a 127 point increase. They had already deleted 15+ negative accounts (four of which were judgments being reporting by a 'court system.')
3. CreditForum.org - Credit Forum began a thread about Lexington Law which is primarily dominated by one member's lenghty posts. He/She posted long emails he/she had written into Lexington Law asking for certain documentation and appears to be unhappy that they were not forthcoming in immediately giving him/her what he/she wanted.
This person also contacted the Utah State Bar Association to see if the attorney assigned to the case had any disciplinary measures. However, the Bar Association indicated that his attorney did not have any disciplinary issues.
*We also note that the Credit Forum website is associated with a lady who is trying to compete with Lexington Law and charges a several thousand dollar fee to her clients.
4. Rip-Off Report - The Rip Off Report website's first post is identical to the post on AskMeHelpDesk. It appears as though the customer wants to reclaim his $79 set-up fee.
There are other reviews - some from satisfied and unsatisfied clients. One member indicated he had a dispute with Lexington Law, but had since resolved it. He indicated he misunderstood what the service would include.
One satisfied client was pleased because Lexington Law removed some "extremely tough entries that I was told would be impossible to remove."
5. BankLady.com - the bank lady website contains a TON of information about personal finance. This particular article weighs the pros and cons of hiring a prepaid credit repair service (although we note that Lexington Law bills you for work that they already completed).
Essentially the article provides the opinion that credit repair services are a good option for those people who do not wish to handle the credit disputing/negotiation, etc. themselves.
